Francis C. Duncan Obituary (1925

Francis C. Duncan, 91, of Grayville, Illinois, died Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville. He was born December 7, 1925, in Edwards County, Illinois, the son of Clyde and Stella (Hensley) Duncan. He married Marie E. (Libke) Duncan on January 22, 1947, and she preceded him in death on January 31, 2004. Francis was a farmer and U.S. Army World War II veteran. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Grayville. Survivors include sons Larry (Linda) Duncan of Albion, Illinois, Ronald (Sioux Kindel) Duncan of Grayville; son-in-law Danny Shoulders; sister Edith Spurgeon; sister-in-law Helen Hortin; grandchildren Doug Duncan, Francie Ellis, Jackie Free, Lesa Shilling, Jake Duncan, Tim Shoulders, Emily (Shoulders) Kiegel, Ashley Duncan; 20 great grandchildren; two nephews, and four nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; son Jimmy Duncan, daughter Carol Shoulders; brothers Dale, Melvin and Albert Duncan; sister Mildred Martin. Visitation and funeral are Friday, March 24, 2017, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Visitation is at 9 am and continues until funeral time at 11 am. Burial with military rites will be in Moravian Cemetery in West Salem, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Grayville VFW and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville.
