Monty Ray Maddamma Obituary (1952

Monty Ray Maddamma, 72, of Carmi, Illinois, died Sunday, August 11, 2024, at John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born May 26, 1952, in Olney, Illinois, the son of Alfonse and Maggie (Erwin) Maddamma. He was married to Paula (Sheckles) Maddamma, and she survives. Monty was a janitor and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid Chicago Cubs Baseball fan and he enjoyed fishing, cooking, painting, tinkering at various odd jobs, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Paula Maddamma of Carmi, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Clifford; and sisters Jean, Cookie, and Nina. In keeping with Montys wishes, his remains were cremated with no services. Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi, Illinois, is assisting the family.
