Densil Eugene Graham Obituary (1931

Densil Eugene Graham, 86, of Grayville, Illinois, died Saturday, July 7, 2018, at his home. He was born December 18, 1931, in Burnt Prairie, Illinois, the son of Clyde and Edith (Pollard) Graham. He married Gail (Hortin) Graham on September 18, 1954, and she survives after 63 years of marriage. Densil graduated from Edwards County High School in 1949. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, he returned to Grayville and worked as a mechanic and parts manager for Oilfield Motor Service. For 28 years, he owned and operated Graham True Value Hardware Store in Grayville. He served as a Trustee for Gray Township, was past president of the Grayville Chamber of Commerce, and was named Grayville Citizen of the Year. Golf and quail hunting were among his favorite pastimes. Densils church was a large part of his life. He was an active member of the New Life Apostolic Church in Grayville for over 70 years, serving 36 years as church treasurer. Survivors include his wife, Gail Graham of Grayville; sons David (Sharon) Graham of Nashville, Tennessee, Steve (Sharon) Graham of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, John (Judy) Graham of Atwater, California; brothers Bobby (Shirley) Graham of Peachtree, Georgia, Larry (Jean) Graham of Sun City, Arizona; grandchildren Angela (Shane) Nasby, Amy (Andrew) King, Thomas Graham, Elisabeth (Daniel) Franzetta, Timothy Graham, Jonathan (Cayla) Graham, Nathanael Graham, Joshua Graham, Benjamin Graham; great grandchildren Nolen Nasby, Harper Nasby, Graham King, Caroline King, Morgan King, Beckett King, Dylan Graham, George Franzetta, and Stephen Franzetta. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Donald and Dellas Graham; and sister Ava Walker. Visitation is 5-8 pm, Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Funeral is 1 pm, Friday, July 13, 2018, at New Life Apostolic Church in Grayville. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Albion, Illinois.
