Ellen Simmons

Meet Ellen Elizabeth Simmons Born December, 7 1962, In Mt. Carmel, Il and passed away on August 28, 2025 with her, loving daughter by her side. She was the queen of mischief and munchies. This rebellious rockstar lived life on her own terms, even after a stroke left her paralyzed. Nothing could stop her from cruising around town on her scooter, often on the wrong side of the road, in search of her next snack attack. Her fur baby Rosie was her number one sidekick, and while her two kids were loved dearly, let's be real Rosie was her real favorite.

She's survived by her 2 children Jaqueline Stewart and William Wiseman; 2 sisters, Selena A. Hawkins and Roxanna R. VanMatre; a brother Craig Pinsonat; 5 grandchildren, and a whole crew of nieces and nephews .

She was preceded in death by her parents Bobbie Joe Sampson and Norma Ruth Hardy, one grandchild, Jackson Stewart and two brothers, Jackey Ray Sampson and Joe David Sampson.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
