Estell Stewart Obituary (1925

Estell Stewart, 91, of Weston, WV, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016, in Colonial Place of Elkins, WV, following an extended illness. He was born August 9, 1925, in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Willis and Pollie (Duvall) Stewart. In 1945, he married Myrtle Frances (Rodgers) Stewart, who preceded him in death on August 30, 1995. Estell was eldest son of four boys and 1 girl born to a farmer who later moved the family to Carmi, IL. He worked on farms with his father from childhood to young adulthood before starting an Oil & Gas business from Illinois to West Virginia, and finally ending with his retirement from being owner and operator of Allegheny Tank Services of Weston. He was a 65 year member of the Grand Masonic Lodge # 272 AF & A of Carmi, IL. Survivors include children Joyce (Norman) Rohr of Buckhannon, WV, Marcia (Rick) Stewart-Kizer of Springboro, OH, and Marvin (Judith) Stewart of Weston; grandchildren Amy Queen, Cary Smith, Rebecca Donaldson and Emmalee Kemper; five great grandchildren Maggie and Grace Queen, Colton and Coby Smith and Brody Donaldson; brothers Milton Stewart of Sun Prairie, WI, and Eugene Stewart of Carmi; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Myrtle; son Paul Stewart (1998); brothers Bill and Earl Stewart; and sister Mildred Stewart. Visitation and funeral are Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi. Visitation is at noon and funeral is at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Mike Fields officiating.
