Freda M. Keeling Obituary (1937

Freda M. Keeling, 79, of Grayville, Illinois, died Monday, August 15, 2016, at St. Marys Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana. She was born June 5, 1937, in Fairfield, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Blanche (Brown) Garrett. She was married to Keith Keeling and he preceded her in death. She was a retired nurse and worked at Baldwin Nursing Home in Grayville, and later at Resthaven Nursing Home in Albion, IL. She thoroughly enjoyed smoking her cigarettes and listening to country music while she crocheted, knitted, cooked, tended flowers, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Survivors include son Joe Keeling and Tara Bruce; daughters Nancy Wright, Penny Keeling, Teresa Walkenbach and Bob Darnold, Judy Keeling and Dan Peach; brothers Glen (Alice) Garrett, Jim Garrett, Kenny (Janet) Garrett; sisters Mary (Wendell) Lowery, Joyce (Bob) Corbett, Darlene (Garry) Smith, Diane Garrett; grandchildren Michael McKay, Melany Pritchett, Kyle Roosevelt, Ashley Walkenbach, Andrew Arthur, Amber Walkenbach, Holley Keeling, Keith Chapman, Hunter Keeling, Joleigh Keeling; great grandchildren KeAira, Jaxyn, Tyler, Jadyn, Landon, Cody, Ajah, Joseph, Dennis, Kylee, Lilly, Layla, Zeke, Zoe, Waylon, Khi, Ronan, and Temprance; step great grandchildren Torin and Jarred. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister Linda Waldrop; brother Joe Garrett; sons-in-law Dick Isbell and Reid McKay. Visitation and funeral are Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Visitation is at 2 pm and funeral is at 3 pm, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
