Harland J. Stucky Obituary (1922

Harland J. Stucky, 90, of Carmi, Illinois, died Monday, October 29, 2012, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. He was born august 6, 1922, in Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin, the son of Charles and Genevieve (Bartholomew) Stucky. He was married to Lois J. (Willis) Stucky and she preceded him in death on October 5, 2006. Harland was a construction worker, World War Two Army Veteran, and member of several organizations including the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Moose Lodge and 40 and 8. Anywhere he went, he enjoyed visiting with people. Survivors include two sons, Doug (Brenda) Stucky, Kevin Stucky, all of Carmi; sisters Karen Pahl of Davis, Illinois, Marguerite Keith of Freeport, Illinois; grandchildren Kim (Pat) Owen, Michelle (Robert) Niehaus, Belinda (Kenny) Kostenbader, Christine Stucky, Kelly (Shawn Jones) Stucky, Kevin M. (Catherine Saelens-Alvarado) Stucky; and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; sisters Doris Dotty Taber, Pat Richardt. At Harlands direction, his remains were cremated and a memorial service will be at a later date.
