James Eugene Osborne

James Eugene Osborne, 69, of Grayville, Illinois, died April 15, 2014, at his home. He was born September 23, 1944, in Paris, Missouri, the son of William Eugene and Helen Aline (Sloss) Osborne. He was married to Ann (Johnson) Osborne on May 8, 1965, and she survives.

James was a truck driver and enjoyed citizen band radios and playing softball with his grandchildren. He attended the Cowling Free Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Osborne; son Jeff (Shelly) Osborne, all of Grayville; daughter Jammie (Jeff) Knight; sisters Kay (Bill) Wheatcroft, Nancy (Buddy) Johnson, Mickie (Duane) Smith, all of Mt. Carmel; seven grandchildren, Jeremy (Rachel) Stoneberger, Kinzie Knight, Colby Knight, Alisha Osborne, J.C. Osborne, Sidney Osborne, Cameron Osborne; two great-grandchildren, Isabella Stevenson and Annabelle Stoneberger.

Preceding him in death are his parents; grandson Landon Jeffery Osborne and brother James Osborne.

Visitation and funeral are Friday, April 18th at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Visitation is at 11 am and funeral is at 1 pm. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery near Cowling, Illinois.
