Phyllis Jean Briley

Phyllis Jean Briley, 57, of Grayville, Illinois, died Thursday, August 4, 2016, at her home. She was born April 2, 1959, in Fairfield, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Emily (Newton) Gross. She married Earl Briley on August 29, 1986, and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2006.

Phyllis was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Grayville. She loved her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include sons Jason Briley of Albion, Illinois, Jeremy Briley, Robert (Jessica) Briley; daughter Patricia (J.R.) Evans; brothers Sid (Sherry) Gross, Donnie Gross; sisters Ella (John) Garner, Lucy Collard, Mary (Dennis) Roberts, all of Grayville; grandchildren Christian, Emily, Matthew, Logan, Jacob, Benjamin, Evelyn, and Eli.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother Roger Gross.

Visitation and funeral are Monday, August 8, 2016, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Visitation is at 10:00 am and continues until funeral at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville.
